  • Soma Prince

Born and raised in Kerala, India, and now residing in the UK, Soma Prince is a postgraduate in Fine Arts. She is deeply passionate about art and works on different platforms including traditional, digital art, graphic design and photography. Growing up as a Catholic in a cultural melting pot like India and moving to the UK, her journey of self-discovery has always been adventurous. Art has stayed a constant in her life from the age of four, and she found great comfort in it when she had the deepest conflicts within herself, be it about her faith in her teenage years, alienation and adaptation in a new country in her twenties, or the joys of motherhood in her thirties. Art has helped her express, discover, resolve, relax and keep her sanity intact when words limited her.

As an artist, she believes a deeper understanding of the self is essential to raising the emotional and mental well-being of individuals and societies. Her mixed-media artworks dive into the thoughts of the ‘deeper self’. Some of the intricate pen works took the artist hundreds of hours to finish, which she find a deeply meditative and therapeutic process.
